Essay
My name is Adeyinka Mary, I am a student of Amazing Grace College Modakeke, Osun State. My best subject as a social science or commercial student is accounting. Accounting as a subject has been a subject I understand any time our teacher comes around to teach us in class. My accounting teacher make the subject so simple that i develop passion to study accounting in the university. When I think about what I want to do for a living, accounting strikes me as a very promising profession that may lead to a variety of fulfilling career paths in addition to providing a strong foundation in finance.
Studying accountancy is akin to acquiring the keys to the language of business. It provides a comprehensive understanding of financial principles, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, and taxation. This foundational knowledge is invaluable, serving as bedrock upon which a multitude of financial decisions are made in both corporate and personal contexts.
One of the compelling reasons to pursue accountancy lies in its versatility. Accountants are not confined to a single industry; rather, they are sought after in various sectors, including public accounting firms, corporations, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations. This versatility ensures a diverse range of career opportunities, allowing me to explore different facets of the financial world.
I chose to major in accounting because I think it will offer me a strong basis for a future profession that is marked by adaptability, strategic importance, global relevance, and ethical obligation.
