Essay
According to the first black South African President Nelson Mandela in his popular saying “Education is the most powerful weapon that can be used to change the world”. This witty expression has been my morsel of knowledge for some years which gave me a good impression that some ills & anomalies facing society like rape and assault of young girls can be corrected. There have been several instances of reported cases majorly of teen girls between the ages of 4 and 15 years who are sexually harassed by adults and many of these impersonators go scot-free without being charged in court for prosecution and put the lives of these helpless and hapless young girls into a series of problems. The abusive act has contributed to the high mortality rate, damaged self-esteem, and depression. All these incidents inspired me to choose a Lawyer as a professional career to fight for fundamental human rights mostly girl children who are speechless and can’t speak for themselves. The contributions of notable female authors like Onyebuchi Florence Emecheta, and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, whose impacts can’t be forgotten. I would use all my skills and power to overcome the setbacks affecting the female gender and fight for the fundamental human rights of both genders, following the pathway of the feminist writers mentioned earlier and changing society to a new, conducive, and blessed world for everyone to reside without chaos.
