MY FUTURE CAREER; NURSING
My name is Olodude Joy. I am a student in the apex class (SS3) of Royal Comprehensive High School located at Oloyede Estate, Modakeke, Osun State in Nigeria. I want to become a nurse in the future. Nursing is a highly respected and fulfilling profession that plays a crucial role in health care. I plan to pursue a career in nursing,where I can be at the forefront of patient care, providing assistance, support and compassion to individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
My experience with nurses inspire me to pursue this career path, whether it was a nurse comforting a crying child or providing expert medical care to a patient, I am always impressed by the dedication and compassion of nurses.
Also, I always loved stories and often found myself drawn to stories about nurses. One day, I stumbled across book called “The call of Nursing”, which was about the life of Florence Nightingale. The story of how Florence Nightingale transformed nursing inspire me and made me realize my passion for nursing. The story also taught me about nursing. The story also taught me about the importance of compassion and the ability to connect with patients.
In addition, Nursing is a very fulfilling and rewarding profession to get a first hand positive impact on the lives of others. I will also develop strong communication and interpersonal skills through whilst also enjoying good salaries and benefits.
Furthermore, whenever I sees nurses wearing their duty gowns, I always admire them,I also want to dress like them in the future. I also want to be called with the name Nurse Joy as nurses are being called.
In conclusion, Nursing is a rewarding profession that combines compassion, knowledge and skill to positively impact the lives of others. By choosing nursing, I will be able to embark on a path that not only provides personal fulfilment but also contributes significantly to the society’s well-being.
