Essay

As I sit to envision my successful career in ten years, I see myself has an influential advocate and practitioner in the field of Agricultural Engineering. My journey and path towards this is that of resilience, passion and love for my country, Nigeria.
Since the beginning of my senior classes, I have been fascinated by the vastness of Agriculture, Physics and Mathematics and could not help but wondered on how to integrate these, hence, my interest in becoming an Agricultural Engineer. To achieve this, I must excel in my exams to be admitted into a higher institution, Obafemi Awolowo University, (OAU) Ile-Ife specifically. At OAU, I aim to master the different components that make up the field and further my study to advancing my interest through a postgraduate degree. Upon the completion of my degrees, I would have gained expertise in the development of working agricultural systems, precision farming systems and development of machines in agriculture.
However, this path is not without challenges, I plan to tackle all the challenges I might face to ensure I finish with flying colours. Also, machine development and operating systems might be challenging, I plan to have multidisciplinary collaborations with experts in the field.
In conclusion, my vision for my successful career in Agricultural engineering involves continuous learning, expertise, hands-on experiences and a commitment to the betterment of my country. This path would empower me to employ innovative solutions for sustainable farming practices, optimize resources utilization while minimizing environmental impact on Nigeria’s agriculture.
