Essay
I dream of a future career in Law. Law involves helping clients deal with legal issues by defending their own personal interests. It is mostly practised by lawyers who prepare legal documents, create contracts and defend cases in court. I believe in justice being served accordingly all for the well-being of the society. While growing up as a child, I have heard quite a few stories of people wrongfully punished for crimes they never committed because they could not defend themselves.
The Nigerian Criminal Justice System has failed the citizens of the country causing people to take matters into their own hands rather than getting involved with the police or finding a competent lawyer which is usually not affordable.
It is my goal to become a very competent lawyer who can frown at corruption and voice out for the voiceless in the society. It is also my dream to see the citizens of this country exercise their Fundamental Human Rights without any fear of harassment either from their fellow citizens, police officers or government officials.
