My future career is Nursing. It is majorly about providing health care for the sick. The improvement and growth of the Nigerian medical system depends not only on the government but also on hospitals and medical centres with passionate nurses and doctors who has no other aim but to save lives. Many privately owned hospitals are not concerned about the condition of any patient if a part of the bill is not paid despite the fact that the patient’s life should always come first. Public hospitals and clinics are free but are usually overcrowded and inadequate.
As a nurse working with a well known Public Health Agency like the World Health Organisation (WHO), it will be an honour for me to travel around the world saving thousands of lives and acquiring the knowledge, skills and experience needed to be in a position to positively impact the Nigerian healthcare system.
I believe the medical system of Nigeria can be improved greatly by adopting the system being used by highly respected International Public Health Organisations.
