Free Healthcare Delivery: Modakeke Progressive International (USA) partners NGO

Against the backdrop of the importance of people’s well-being and access to quality healthcare services, Modakeke Progressives International has partnered with a nongovernmental organization, Modakeke Advancement Initiative to deliver free healthcare services to the people of Modakeke and its environs.

This initiative is targeted at ensuring that people within the Modakeke locality have access to healthcare services at no cost and without discrimination whatsoever.

The partnership between the two community-based development organizations was said to aim at addressing many challenges the people of Modakeke are encountering before having basic and quality healthcare delivery.

While speaking on the rationale behind the scheme, the President of Modakeke Progressives International, USA, Alhaji Animasaun, disclosed that MPI decided to key into the free health scheme to address many challenges the people of Modakeke are encountering before having access to this important basic need.

“In his words, Alhaji Animasaun said, “we have noted with regret the substandard state of public-owned healthcare institutions in Modakeke and considering the rising cost of goods and services globally, it would be difficult for the teeming population of our dear town to have access to quality and affordable healthcare services”

“In addition, we noted that our people have to travel to the neighboring towns to access quality healthcare services even when some critical cases might require emergency which often leads to complications or avoidable death when the response time is delayed”

“It is against this background and many more that we consider it essential to work with a like-mind such as Modakeke Advancement Initiative to open up this opportunity for our people”

“At every opportunity, we will continue to do our best to improve the lives of our people across every sector and we use this opportunity to passionately appeal to our brothers and sisters in the diaspora to join us in the quest to develop our heritage which is Modakeke, there is no effort that is too small, he concluded.

Corroborating the statement of the MPI, USA President, the Chairman of Modakeke Advancement Initiative, Engr. Wale Olanrewaju, expressed gratitude for the commitment of MPI to the development of Modakeke since its establishment many decades ago.

He described Modakeke Advancement Initiative as a platform founded to render humanitarian services and societal development and in addition complement the giant strides of other Modakeke-oriented development organizations.

In his words, Engr. Olanrewaju” one of our core interventions at the Modakeke Advancement Initiative is the outpatient clinic which was established to provide health services to our people at no cost”

“We are open to more partnerships and appeal to our people to donate generously to this important project, he concluded.
